Objective

This fund’s objective is to provide high long-term returns with moderate to higher risk. To accomplish this objective, the fund invests primarily in North America equities chosen on a bottom up basis (see below), although it is permitted, for defensive reasons, to own trusts, money market instruments, North American government and high quality corporate bonds. The manager expects, however, that the majority of its holdings will be common shares except in exceptional circumstances.

Strategy

To allocate the fund’s assets, we review economic data, market trends, stock valuations, interest levels, monetary policy and other business cycle developments to determine the risk and return potential of each asset class. To select individual equities, we use our traditional bottom-up process. In addition to other forms of intensive research, we conduct interviews with corporate management to determine their dedication and the quality of their growth strategies.
